DYESS-PETERSON TESTING LABORATORY, INC.

Dyess Testing Laboratory, Inc. was established in 1968. The name was changed to Dyess-Peterson Testing Laboratory, Inc. in 1993. The lab was located at 506 S. Lipscomb from 1968-1995. In 1995, the lab was moved to a newly built 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located at 1700 SE. 22nd Avenue in Amarillo. The company employs over thirty people. In 1998, a second office was purchased at 5853 49th Street in Lubbock, Texas. The building was renovated and on January 2, 1999, a full service laboratory was opened to serve Lubbock and the surrounding area. The Lubbock laboratory is staffed with a Supervisor and four technicians. Our mobile laboratories serve clients throughout Texas. Our laboratories meet the requirements of ASTM E329 and ASTM D3740.

Dyess-Peterson Testing Laboratory, Inc. is certified by the Texas Department of Transportation as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and certified by the State of Texas as a Historically Underutilized Business.

KEY PERSONNEL
Dalana Peterson - President - Twenty-five years experience managing a materials testing laboratory

Lee Peterson - Vice President - Thirty years experience managing and operating a materials testing laboratory.

Michael Copeland, P.E. - Registered Professional Engineer - Thirty years experience in geotechnical engineering, materials testing, environmental site assessments, inspections and all engineering procedures.

Lab Technicians - Fourteen technicians with experience ranging from one to twenty five years.

Lab technicians receive training from the American Concrete Institute (ACI), Texas Hot Mix Association (Level IA, IB and II), and Nuclear Gauge Safety Training.
